ReplyDeleteGood morning from New Stuyahok! Nice to see a familiar name up there! Hey Megan! I'm very excited for the opportunity to develop better teaching techniques for writing. I currently teach an HSGQE English class and find myself struggling to instruct in a way that gives me quality products from my students. Thank you for offering the class at such an affordable price, as the teachers in my district had to foot the bill.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Marina Gantz. I am a high school specialist with the English Language Learner Program (ELLP), ASD. I work with the HS ESL teachers and Bilingual Tutors. Although I do not have a classroom of my own, I will consider the ELLP staff "my students" as I always share new ideas ans strategies with them.

ReplyDeleteEleanor Stoltz, here, from Juneau, Alaska. Thanks for having me. Have a good day!
Greetings from Lena at Clark Middle School in Anchorage. Writing is more enjoyable to me than most "school" things. This is my third trip into the Virtual Open ASWC, and, thanks to Sondra, it is never a burden. Student population I serve includes some of the most vulnerable who don't understand English well, and find America confusing. A boy's mother overseas, dad working several jobs, and he writes, assisted by the little hearts I quietly draw with my red teacher pen in the corners when it's difficult to keep it cool. This is my story, share yours!
ReplyDeleteGreetings! My name is Shirlie Gribble and I teach sixth grade at West Homer Elementary in Homer. I am excited about taking the class.
ReplyDeleteHello from Nikiski. It looks like my gmail account assigned to me by the district is going by my first name, but I answer to either Elizabeth or Carla.

ReplyDeleteGood afternoon from Sand Lake Elementary School in Anchorage. I am a fifth grade teacher (used to be third but this year I happily decided to try out intermediate) in the Japanese Immersion Program, which means that I teach mainly the Language Arts and Social Studies part of the curriculum to two groups of fifth graders. I love writing, and while I admit that I don't make enough time to do much of it - I have fun teaching and writing with my students! I am excited to write my way through this class! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, this is Michelle Borland, a high school English teacher at Homer High School.
ReplyDeleteHello. I'm Joyce Gardella, secondary English teacher at Nanwalek, located across the bay from Homer.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Voznesenka, a small Russian Old Believer village outside of Homer. I teach grades 7-12 Language Arts here. Today, I'm ex-ed out: exhausted after a long day, excited about the class, and extremely happy we are gaining daylight!
